When I'm driving the SWC, SW-320, or Tetra 35, the boat disappears in mouselook!

Make sure "Show Avatar in Mouselook" is checked under Edit -> Preferences -> Graphics, otherwise attachments, like the boat itself, will not show up in mouselook.

Can I test drive one of your boats?

Certainly! Just Contact Us and we'd be happy to help you out. Please note that the Tetra 35, SWC, and SWC3 use detail attachments and while we can give you a passenger ride in one, we cannot let you drive it at this time. The SWC and SWC3 handle very similarly to our other boats, and the Tetra 35 handles just like a Tako (SLurl), which is available for free.

My boat periodically falls underwater. Why is this?

You're crossing Sim Borders. This is an unavoidable artifact of long-distance travel in SL, and affects every vehicle. You can minimize this effect by removing any excessive avatar attachments. For example, I have an avatar with 1,200 prims that makes sim border crossings terrible, but when I switch to an avatar that just has a few hundred, the sim border crossings improve by a lot.

Why is it that when I sit in your boat, I'm poised at a very strange angle?

Your animation overrider is overriding the animation the boat's seat is trying to play on you. You can fix this by shutting off your AO for the duration of your sit.

You offer free upgrades. How do I get my free update?

The Tetra 35 and SWC3 boats have an auto-update feature that give you the latest version when you rez an older version.

IM Verkin Raven ? and prepare for a TP so we can verify your ownership of the old version of the boat in person. Rez your boat for me as proof of ownership, and we'll send you the latest version.

I need to give the boat as a gift for a friend. Will you send me a copy with transfer enabled?

We cannot distribute transferable boats that also have copy permission, and no boat in SecondLife should be without copy permission. If you wish to give the boat as a gift, our highly recommended option is to use the "Purchase as a gift" feature on SlExchange. Before you do, make sure the person is online and not in busy mode! If SlExchange is simply not an option, you may contact us directly, but please leave a single, clear message as we may not be online and the offline IM cap can fill up quickly.

You left your boat on my property! Please clean it up.

Are you certain the boat is owned by us? Please check the general support article Owner vs Creator and verify we are the owner, and not just the creator, before IMing us. If it is our boat, we apologize! Please Contact Us and we will clean it up as soon as possible. Be sure to tell us where it is! A landmark or SLurl works great.

Are you available for contract work?

No. Seawolf does not do scripting or building work on demand. This includes not customizing products you've purchased from us, whether you're willing to pay for it or not.

Can you give or sell me any or part of the scripts Seawolf uses?

No. Seawolf cannot give out in part or in whole any of the source for scripts we create.

Can I have a free boat?

Unfortunately, we cannot give away our boats for free. Our most inexpensive boat is the Cobra G2 for L$200. At the average Linden Dollars exchange rate, that is less than a US Dollar. If you simply must have a boat at no charge, please check out Yadni's Junkyard (SLurl) or other free item distribution centers in Second Life. Just remember that you tend to get what you pay for.

If the boat doesn't move or looks askew when you're trying to drive it:
- Make sure you're either not wearing an AO, or that if you are, it's shut off. A different sitting pose can throw the whole attachment off.
- Make sure the boat is on. Touch the boat for the dialog menu and select "Start"
- Make sure your flight enhancement attachment isn't running, if you have one.
- Make sure the boat isn't caught on a prim. You can turn phantom mode on (no-clip) through the menu. Alternatively, you can simply move the shell of the boat out of the prim.
If the driver tries getting up while on a parcel that doesn't allow object creation, most of the boat isn't going to show up.
If you try getting up while on a parcel that doesn't allow scripts, you're going to wander around wearing half the boat. Just detach the extra piece if this happens.
If you try getting up while on a parcel that cannot support the rezzed prim requirements of the boat, most of the boat isn't going to show up.
The attachment part of the boat uses the pelvic slot, so anything attached there beforehand might be detached, and cannot be worn as long as you want the boat to display as you're driving. I've found that attaching tails to the stomach slot avoids this issue entirely.
Don't drive full speed into an unknown area. The best places to go fast are the Linden Lakes, the ANWR strait, and private sims.
If you're traveling cross-country, navigate via the Linden water property. You can see these as threading down the center of most straits with property lines turned on. This water is guaranteed to be free of ban lines and are the safest places to travel in SL.
