Q: How do I encourage Linden Lab to add features or fix bugs that would help avatar developers?

Linden Lab, creator of Second Life, has a bug tracker system using the Jira software, to keep track of any problems that crop up with Second Life. The Jira system is also double-purposed as a "new feature" request system, and allows people to vote on which bugs or feature they want to see put into Second Life soonest.

To vote for a Jira bug or feature request, visit the relevant Jira page. An example is this page, for official support for deformations: http://jira.secondlife.com/browse/VWR-2374

Once you arrive, you should see a scene like this. There are two places to log in, circled in green. Click either of them.

After clicking the link, you should see a login page. Follow the instructions, entering your Second Life username (first and last) and password.

Once you're logged in, you shouldn't need to do so again until you restart your web browser. To vote, click on the "Vote for it" link along the left side panel on any Jira issue that sounds good to you. You can vote on as many issues as you'd like.

You may also click "Watch it" to be emailed when updates or comments are posted to the issue.

A list of Jiras that Seawolf encourages you to vote for can be found here: OtherIssues-JiraList
